The Star City Visioning and Development Task Force consists of three volunteer committees that were formed in order to address the greatest needs within the town. This Task Force is overseen by the Star City Visioning Steering Committee. This committee is made up of the following:
James Gaston (Co-Chair), Delbert Royce (Co-Chair), Mayor Allen Sharp, Betsy Beall, Ed Cosner, Vicki Cosner, Becky Hunn, Anthony Sellaro, Bob Weser, and Fred Wyant.
The three sub-committees are:
Zoning and Code Enforcement-focusing on reviewing and updating the current zoning and housing maintenance/rental code laws. Committee members are:
Anthony Sellaro (chair), Albert Claudio, Tanya Musick, and Margaret Yanchak
Community Development-focusing on plans for the future, including expansion of the Tugboat Depot, improvement of the town's overall physical appearance, historic preservation, and evaluation of traffic patterns. Committee members are:
Jerry Boyle (Co-Chair), Tanya Musick (Co-Chair), Betsy Beall, Karen Casciotti, Albert Claudio, and Angela Obringer
Economic Development-this committee is still recruiting members and has not yet had a meeting. If you are interested in serving on this committee, please contact City Hall at 599-3550 for information. The focus of this committee will be job creation, business recruitment and retention, and riverfront development.
