Business Licenses and Privilege Tax

To obtain a Business License, you must fill out the application and pay the appropriate fees associated with the type of license you wish to obtain.

Contractor License (Initial)

Fill out this form if you've never had a license in Star City or if you had a license prior to July 2010. The fee is $90.00 and the form is Here

Contractor License (Renewal)

Fill out this form if you had a license between July 2010 and June 2011. The fee is $45.00 and the form is Here

ALL Contractors are required to remit Privilege Taxes before beginning any job in Star City. See below under the heading Privilege Tax.

All Other Types of License

Fill out this form if you have a regular business registration form from the state. The fees are listed; please be sure to add the .50 recording fee. The form is Here. Remittance of Privilege Tax can be discussed at the time of application.
