Fundraising Committee
Responsible for raising all of the funds needed to build the playground. Fundraising is broken up into three areas: grassroots efforts (i.e., house parties, flea markets, selling
pickets/bricks, etc.), corporations, and foundations. People on this committee should have great interpersonal skills, be persistent, and not take "no" for an answer. It's also helpful, but not necessary, to be well connected in the community. Contact: Elizabeth Beall at

Public Relations Committee
Handles all aspects of public relations throughout the life of the project. General activities for this committee include writing press releases, placing stories with local print and TV media, making follow-up phone calls, and publicizing all fundraising initiatives.
